It works well but the battery-operated depletes too quickly
I bought this to vacuum cat palankeen and dust. It performed well in the beginning. After two months of moderate use, however, the battery started to drain very soon, and it became clear that it was not holding a good charge. Ultimately, I feel that it was a little gimmicky and had minor utility for the money spent on it.

I did not bother to replace the battery as I decided to travel and move my things to storage.

Works gigantic, needs a holder
Vacuum so far, I've had for a speck over a month now, but it works great. My only complaint is that it needs a holder for the recharging & the attachments!

Shark Vac is extreme looking and works well but it's only good while the battery lasts. After that your best option is to throw it in a different place and buy a new one. The battery needs to be charged constantly. Even with a charged battery the machine works for a digest period. The battery pack is made up of 12 small batteries factory wrapped into a company. When you order and receive the replacement battery which including shipping costs you $22.00 you observation that there is no way you can change the battery yourself. The wires inside the vacuum are factory sealed. The battery itself has rubber pieces glued to it to keep it in locale and prevent rattling. The new battery comes with no rubber attachments. After you spend good amount of even so pulling the old battery out of the machine then you see the wires are sealed and the red wire doesn't go directly to the motor. There is a one battery (number 13th battery) in between the battery pack and the motor. There is no way to pull the red wire without injurious it and then what about the 13th battery? You have not ordered the replacement for it and the company very conveniently forgot to mention it.
So the moral of the experiences is "Don't buy the blasted thing".

Most I've even owned
I have three of these. I thrust I could afford to put one in every room in the house. You can't seem to break them and I've bought a replacement battery for one I've had five years. This is the keeping vac to buy. Period.

works well
Got this a week or so ago. Works interesting so far. The biggest pain is charging it properly (20+ hours the first 3 times) then 8-10 hours afterwards, though when I called the manufacturer they said I can leave it plugged in all the time as long as it's going to be against daily or every other day. It's a very effective little hand vac.

I paramour this vacuum
I bought the Pilot recently at Bed Bath Beyond for $144 with a 20% off coupon.

It is attractive, truly lightweight, of unimpressive size, and very maneuverable in our small crowded house. Rolls amazingly lightly, smoothly, and handily. It does a great job and is actually, surprisingly, a pleasure to use. I'm accustomed to wearing hearing protectors when I vacuum and having other household occupants all but run screaming from the excursions. This one is so quiet the protectors are optional. It switches painlessly from bare floors to rugs or use of the hose/stick, and I don't have to worry about winding stuff around the roller and breaking a belt/burning the motor when using it on shorn floors because the roller is stopped then (the only rugs in the house are area rugs - and it does a noble job on those very quickly). It's the first vac of this upright/roller configuration I've used that actually works on meagre floors. The pet hair attachment does a beautiful job in pretty much one pass on couch missiles, throw pillows, etc. as long as the narrow red strips on the bottom sides of the attachment are cleared many a time of hair, which is simple to do with fingers.

This is the clearest of dust and detritus this little house's confound has ever been.

And emptying! The dust cup assembly releases easily with a very accessible button. It carries most with the same handle used to pick up the vacuum when the dust cup is in place on it. You simply hold it over the Canadian junk bin, press a button on the bottom edge, and the bottom swings open to release the contents into the trash. You then waggle the bottom back up and click it shut. I wipe the edge off before replacing the assembly on the vac. No more hassle or pushing the place of the dust cup too far because emptying it is so unpleasant, messy, and time consuming.

The whole vacuum is easy to pick up and maintain by a broad, comfortable, sturdy handle on top of the dust cup assembly and it doesn't bang against my legs when carried.

I find that using this vacuum is in fact relaxing and takes significantly less of my personal energy than our previous one, a Eureka Boss.

Become a reality Cleaning Power
Ok, so it's not a Dyson, but it's a intimate value. I own 2 Dysons - a Dyson Ball and an Upright - and love them both, but they are pricey and the upright is esoteric. The Shark is comparable to the Dyson Ball in size and even smaller and lighter. The capacity is a bit shy, but it has brilliant suction and the hose assembly is convenient and easy to employ. Terrific vacuum for a slight home or apartment.

Don't try to get pledge work
The vacuum worked as advertised. It has a ashamed power head so takes more passes to clean than most, but that is fine. After using it for approximately six months, we noticed that the wheels felt like they were gungy. They bounced as you went across the hard surface floors. When examining the wheels to clean them of jetsam, we found out that the front wheels were completely worn out. They were made of a very cheap plastic and the centers of the wheels were reamed out and were about to divide into two pieces. No problem, we will call warranty service for replacements. That is when they told us that they were not available, but the complete power boss would have to be replaced. We told them to send it to us and we would replace it. They stated that it was not under warranty. After haggling back and forth with them about what was submerged, it was basically just the main motor and that is all. They wanted $99 for the power head additional shipping which put it into the range of a complete new machine.

My recommendation is do not buy. The basic concept is good, it will exertion well for a while, an fall apart and you will not have any recourse to repair it.

Carefully impressed
I have only had my NV22 for a week but I felt forced to write a review to hopefully sway someone deciding on purchasing this item. All bagless vacuums seem to be benchmarked against the Dyson DC25 'capsule' model, and for good reason. I purchased one of those (the Dyson) for my father for Christmas and was blown somewhere else by the power and manueverability of it. You could tell almost instantly that despite its relatively small stature, it had far-out suction capacity.

For myself, I just didn't want to spend that kind of money and I solid that the Shark Navigator was a good buy at $150. I received it literally two work days after I ordered it and could not postponed to snap it together and get going. I was blown away. The thing you will notice immediately is the sound. It doesn't have that austere, deep throaty sound of of a normal vacuum. This thing sounds like a jet motor, quiet and clean. It sounds almost exactly the same as the Dyson. In terms of its power, you'll be blown to another place. Just two days after running my old vacuum, the Shark picked up nearly a full canister full of dust, skin of one's teeth and other debris.

Ultimately, the true test of a bagless vacuum is how well it picks up as the canister fills. My last vacuum, a nefarious bagless model literally was good for about one room before the canister became too full. You could feel the lack of suction if you placed your accessible over the wand attachment. With the Shark, even with a virtually full canister, it had enough power to spin the impeller on the pet skin of one's teeth attachment at full speed and easily clean the steps. Plus, even though the Dyson has the fancy capsule design, you will not feel like the Shark has difficult in manuevering through your house. Its low profile suction section fits under most furniture items and its trival to turn and squeeze into different spaces.

I can't on a talk more loudly to the durability of the model since I've only owned it a week, but I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. For the price, I don't have in mind you can go wrong. Considering that you would need to go through 3 Shark Navigators before you paid as much as you would pay for the Dyson, I think it's a somewhat safe investment. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful bagless vacuum that won't be lacking a second mortgage.

Worked intimate for me
I bought this issue without reading any reviews first and I'm glad i didnt. I love it. It is not hard to push at all in either mode. I didnt have any turbulence with the pick up. it sucked up everything on my floor without pushing it around or blowing it like my regular vac does. I in reality liked the mop, had to go over a few spots a couple times, but its was way better than scrubbing on my hands and knees like i acquainted with to do. plus its sanitary without having to spend money on all kinds of chemicals. my favorite part is when i'm done i can go with through my kitchen and dining room without having stuff stuck to the bottom of my feet(my biggest pet peeve).

I'm bare
After vacuuming 3 rooms and steam organization after, I am so tired. The vacuum has good suction. I bought this because I have 4 cats and want to keep the cat hairs cleaned up. I noticed that after 1 live, the cat hairs were wound tightly around the teeny tiny wheels in the front, very hard to get out.Even lying lifeless, it doesn't get under furniture very well, seems like it needs a bumper guard because with no light, it's easy to crush it up running into things.
The steamer, well, it appears to be steaming, out the sides, not much thru the pad. Took me running over a gummy spot many many times to get it up. I really do not feel it is hot enough to do a good job. The cord is nice and long, but if it slips off it is easygoing to step on.I have neck problems and mopping was painful, but honestly, this is worse. I guess it is gentle to put together and easy to maintain, but that's abt it. I will have to reutrn it and try something else.

Significant idea and almost a great product
I purchased this to keep my hardwood floors evacuate a clean in a older house (floors >40 years old). I have animals and keep a pretty shipshape place. I was going through quite a bit of conventional liquid based products (Murphy's, Bruce Hardwood Cleaner) and was tough to reduce costs (I'm an accountant, so there!). The device vacuums quite well despite the other judgement on here.... It is designed for hard surfaces only and if you had A LOT of debris on the floor, use a normal vacuum first (which throws around rather a bit of debris). As for the steam cleaning, it is a little lacking. It seems to work in fits and starts. During the times that it seems to develop intensify pressure and put out quite a bit of steam, it seems to work well and the cleaning pad gets quite hot. But you have to stop again in order for it to get to the high steam times (annoying and really slows things down).

If the outcome maintained a high level of constant steam and included a larger water reservoir, I would rating this a 5 star. And considering I dropped 150 for this, I really want it to work! But with this oversight in the object, I have to give it a 3. I'm not for sure if I have a bad model or not, but it reduces it's usefulness. It does help for the quick stroke/cleaning that I do to pick up the dog hair.

It would also be nice if you could add a couple of drops of scent (lemon, pine, etc.) to the reservoir.

Rotten Suction & Hard to Push
What a fritter away, this vacuum has zero suction. It just pushed around potato chips (how heavy is a potato splinter?). If you try to use it as a steam mop you need to work out at a gym for a month first. This thing is really hard to pester!!

As a word of caution,I suggest you buy ear plugs when operating, for a vac that can't seem to pick anything up it makes a lot of noise.

Anyway, I am returning mine back to Goal, a $30.00 swivel sweeper does a much better job!

One last thing, it does work on doormat, the manual even warns you not to use it on carpet. Crazy for $150.00 I would expect carpet.
