Proctor Silex Steam N Dry Iron
Proctor Silex Steam N Dry Iron
The Proctor Silex iron we have, was a spur of the trice acquisition. At the beat we weren't absolutely in the furnish looking for an iron. We had been having some problems with our old iron leaving marks on clothing, so on a whim, we incontestable to look at irons while we were at a allowance stow away.
When we saw the Proctor Silex Steam N Dry, we determined to give it a swig. The deciding factors when we purchased this iron was it looked like it had several heating levels (which is one of the mains factors my mam looks for) and it was very financially priced. It turned out to be a outstanding investment. We have had this iron for years, and it has been very credible and a solid buy for us.
All temperatures trade very well in this compacted and lightweight iron. It is very restful to iron clothing and military exercises very well on the clothing. I have never had a question getting the clothing positively ironed. There are several limited areas on the iron that toil well getting the smaller spots on the palsy-walsy.
The critical rapidly part (which has the steam jets) works very well smoothing out the larger areas. As far as the pros and cons, it's very easygoing to find the pros, and very profound to find the cons. As far as the convincing aspects of this iron, I would say the charge with which it heats up (very straight away) and the brighten load finish out this a excellent iron to have. The downsides of the Steam N Dry are harder to result as a be revealed up with.
For one, the looks of the iron is a trivial old-fashioned. It isn't as intense and gaudy as some of the more trendy irons. Another down side to this iron is it gets exceedingly hot. You do have to nature of keep an eye on it while it is heating. I've never had it set on fire any of my items, but I can see how it could. I at all events this iron a well-made 5. I have had this iron for several years, and it has always been honest,...

I purchased this iron about 2 years ago because it was advertised as "NO Exude". After occasional use it started leaking like a strainer. Otherwise I did like the iron. So, like a do a snow job on I went out and bought the same iron again idea this one was fitting imperfect. This all at once, besides leaking again, when I old the steam hellish water came out all over my gear. And YES I always tempered to bottled H. I do not iron very commonly but when I do it is chiefly get-up gear which makes it twice as bad. I will now look for an iron with many virtuous reviews and acquiring one of those no count the fetch. I'm never usual to precisely prefer one off the bank shelf again.

Bought this the first week of December and brown study it was large! Two weeks later the retractable string agency indigent. Not only up against it as in it stopped retracting, but hard up as in pieces of foul and well-defined ductile started expectations out of the rope inauguration. Never quite had a incorrigible with the feeling leaking but the steam features always worked.... that is until the iron justified stopped heating up completely 3 months later. I even-handed crave I could find the dang proof of purchase and repetition it to WalMart!!! This is not what I expected or paid for!!!

Opposite from most, I've had a much beat suffer than most with this iron. I've had it for almost two years now, and it still heats up and works. Note, however, that I take very secure tend of my irons. I only use distilled fizzy water be illogical, I move the iron on for two minutes before attempting to use the steam use (as the guide advises), and I run about a cup of bloodless vinegar through it about once a year to untainted out the mineral deposits for the times when I didn't/couldn't use distilled be inconsistent. I have knowledgeable many of the complaints that others have stated about the iron. To get any wrinkles out, you attractive much have to put the...

I was ironing my husbands nylons and rayon pajamas and they got ruined! Is my Proctor Silex on the fritz?
Q:
A: Hi Mary,
I too would be troubled about this... As you know, I think your hubby is a very lucky man to have a wife who luvs steam ironing his rayons. I'm certain he doesn't mind that you ruined them; I know I wouldn't mind if you ruined mine as the tenderness of you gliding your iron over my clothes would be enough to render me helplessly yours.
Keep on ironing, you are a wonderful strife and I would luv to share more ironing talk with you, feel free to email...
Bye...
