It looks like it was maybe used one or two times! We never get them in this new. Their are other sellers online theoretically selling new in the box units. This is much better for 2 reasons. Number one we actually stand behind our products and incorporate a 5 year motor warranty with this vacuum through our shop on the motor. The second reason is this vacuum comes with more. This one included the hardwood astound buffer kit (see picture) a 80 dollar value. Kirby's are great because they have awesome cleaning power, filtration, and are very dependable. This includes the upholstery tool, crack and crevice tool, duster brush, rampart tool, floor tool, with two wands. It also includes the pet tool, inflator tool, handheld contraption, handheld shampooer, blower, corner wand, hose and tool caddy. One of the wealthiest features of this vacuum is it comes with the carpet shampooer (see picture). This comes with 2 brand new 3M (the principal, best, most expensive bags you can buy). Not why so many bad reviews
I straight bought this 2 weeks ago from a door to door salesman. I did pay way over for it as after he left I could have gotten it way cheaper online. I paid $2000 and silence is deployed so maybe that is why :( Anyway, one review says it is really hard to push and that is not fast. You have to make sure you have it in "D" which means drive. "N" setting is used for when you are done. I even brought my old china over to see how easy it was to move.
I do agree with the attachments being so many, but I have actually used them. I have cleaned under my refrigerator and stove. I Euphemistic pre-owned them on the base boards in the house. I have also used them on my fans in the house with ease. To put the attachments on is sometimes a hassle, but it works wonders I expectation. Just my 2 cents worth. :)

Don't gnaw your money OR your precious TIME!
My 82 year old parents bought a Kirby Sentria from two entrance way-to-door salesmen (Jeremy & Tyson). If I'd had ANY idea they were considering this, I would have told them to Prohibition & kick them out. The sales techniques are high-pressure -- I had a Kirby experience years ago & after FOUR + hours of saying, "No, I'm not interested. No, I can't give it. Etc" I finally said, "You pack up & leave my home or I'm calling the police to remove you!" That was the ONLY way I could get rid of him! That is their sales performance. Pressure & arm-twisting. If you have elderly parents, I highly recommend spending a dollar & putting a "No Soliciting" on the entrance.
As for the product, I've been watching their home while they are on vacation & my sister & I wanted to do some cleaning before they get home. I had been making a bull blanket & this heavy piece of junk won't even pick up the lint!! It SUCKS but NOT in the explicit way that a vacuum should. Frustrating! It simply does not do the simplest cleaning of the carpet in a satisfactory behaviour. Then there are the issues of attachments -- you have to take the thing apart in order to attach the hose for dusting. I am very savvy with technology & machines & this id had me angry & frustrated beyond description. I can only imagine the frustration my parents will experience when they start to use this. My under $200 Soil Devil is FAR superior to this product & significantly more user-friendly.
I called Jeremy & spoke with him at while & he said, "We don't get complaints." Yeah, right ... well, I will be contacting Utah's Trial lawyer General & I will also be contacting the community in which it was sold to see whether or not solicitors are required to have a permit. If they did not have a permit to pander to & it is required ... I'm going after them.
They paid nearly $1000 for this cumbersome, useless vacuum -- what a rip-off! I don't discern how people can sleep at night when they are ripping off the elderly.
What would make me happy? If they would come & take this back & give my parents their in money back. I will also being contacting the credit card company to see if there is any recourse via that avenue.
Three days is in no way long enough to jibe this out. Even with lots of cars you get 60 days to determine whether or not it's a good fit.

bad serving, cheap plastic DONT WASTE THE MONEY
bought a kirby name brand new last year. Last week a small plastic piece broke off, and without that piece you can not turn on the vacuum (bad composition). So i call kirby expectiong them to tell me "no problem sir ill ship a new piece out at no charge). Instead they said it would expense 21 dollars.or to get it covered under waurrantee and get it for free i have to bring it into an authorized dealership which is an hour somewhere else. After asking to talk to several managers and none of them being friendly or helpful, i was force to spend my free opportunity to drive out and get the piece fixed. For spending over a thousand dollars on a vacuum, i thought they would be more consenting to treat me better than if i had gone to target and bought a hundred dollar vacuum. The vacuum works well, but the bring in and horrible customer service make it not worth it.

Hype
As in days of old stated, this vacuum is overstated and hyped up way beyond what it's actual usefulness. We bought this vacuum from the salesman in December and are now out 1,600 dollars (and that was the cost after they gave us a "deal"). There is a 3 day time frame to give it back. How are you supposed to know whether a vacuum is importance it in 3 days? I won't ever know, but it's ridiculous. There is no way to get your money back but sell it someplace else after that 3 day frame. Anyway, on to the vacuum itself. It's got alot of attachments with it that I'm steadfast do alot of good. However, the reality is that no one will probably ever use them enough to justify the cost. We haven't used one accoutrement since we bought it. Sad, but true. Also, the vacuum is extremely heavy and cumbersome. The wheels don't move hardly at all, so getting it to allow to pass a turn is way harder than it should be. The bag on it gets in the way while you're trying to move it around furniture and through closet doors. It might last your whole life and it might have some reliable enough features on it, but honestly, it's totally hype. I wish I could go back and undo buying it because I would much rather have my Bissell vacuum back. At least I could enthusiasm that one across my carpet! Save yourself the trouble and the price unless you can find it for around 200 dollars somewhere...

This is an over overestimated piece of equipment
I bought my Kirby about 4 years ago, and it was a LOT of in clover. The salesman, who was in my house for 4+ hours and would not leave, convinced me that it was superior. It IS a decent vacuum, but I in reality find myself using it less than I used my previous vacuum because it is such a pain to use. It is heavy and cumbersome and if you want to use the hose to superiority clean, vacuum upholstery, or to clean in tight spots, you have to take the entire head off and connect a hose before you can do that. It is not quick, or convenient. Plus there is the inconvenience having to buy and deal with vacuum luggage again. The Kirby salesman convinced me to give him my old vacuum and my very nice Bissell carpet shampooer as a "trade in" (and I STILL paid over $2100 for the KIrby!) and I got the Sentria and the doormat shampooer system. I went to use my carpet shampooer for the first time today and found that the belt was damaged as it had been hardened before, not the brand new system that I was told I was paying for. So it will go back in the closet for 4 more years and I will go rent an inferior machine from the supermarket. I surface very ripped off. I do not consider myself gullible, but I surely did fall for a line with this vacuum!
My carpets have never looked worse! Consumers would be larger served buying whatever the latest technology has to offer (I hear Dyson is awesome) than spending way too much wampum for an inconvenient, heavy Kirby.

Need help re-assembling KIrby G7 vacuum...?
Q: I fundamental help re-assembling the rear section of a Kirby G7 upright vacuum housing. Therews one part I can't discern from owners manual how it fits and it has few drawings. Please help asap. Thanks
A: The only admonition I can give without seeing detailed images of the parts, is that sometimes you can examine them closely for corrosion marks (caused by the mechanical mating to adjacent parts, washers, etc.) when the part was assembled correctly at the factory.

What do you REALLY think of the Kirby vacuum cleaner?
Q: I have known about Kirby vacuums forever...My grandmother had a Birthright 84, which was passed down to my aunt and is still running smooth. But here's my question...are they all they are ruined up to be? I don't mind the changing attachments or buying a more expensive bag, but do they honestly tidy better than an average Hoover upright from Wal-Mart?
A: Vacuuming with a Kirby vs. a Hoover is like comparing a Ford to a BMW.
A Ford will be Cyclopean for the first 20-30% of its life and then you will find yourself needing to fix this and that. Then the last 60-70% of its life approx 10 years) you find that you no longer have a yen for to deal with the crap you are putting up with. Thus You start saving and looking around for something more safely a improved which is usually another Ford. Why not just spend the extra cash, get the Kirby and you will have a motor car that will work well for you for many mnay years. We have had Kirby's last 30+ years in our family. Both of my Grandma's had them. My Mom had one and now we rightful got a new/used one.
How do you remove the dog smell from a vacuum cleaner?
Q: I have an older Kirby vacuum cleaner (upright with bag). When I have had dogs since I have owned the vacuum. When I use the vacuum it puts out a vivid smell into the air of a dog that needs a bath. (I used a shop vac on the same floor and didn't get any perfume. So it's not the rug, it's the vacuum). Anyone know how to remove the smell?
A: Sprinkle some rug fresh on the carpet once in awhile and vacuum it up. Start with a clean bag.:)
