Dazzling performance! The best vacuum ever!
This Dyson is so staggering! It really does a great job of deep cleaning my carpets. I'm not normally a canister narcotic addict, but I received this as a gift and I was blown away by how well it worked. It's also great for using on stairs and picking up pet locks. Totally recommend!

Big Chagrin
The Dyson DC23 motorhead is a elephantine disappointment. I have owned a Dyson upright for years and was so happy with it that when I decided to buy a canister to make it easier to vacuum under movables I immediately chose Dyson. Big mistake. The first thing you notice is that Dyson could not have chosen a cheaper made hose. My Dyson uprights hose is reinforced with a wire strand. This hose is so thin that it absolutely kinks and shuts off suction as you manuever it. I would compare the hose on the canister to what one would expect from a for twopence $50 bath tub bubbler that they use to sell many years ago. Dyson could not possibly have made this hose any thinner or cheaper. The lowest cater to bidder definately got that contract. It had to have cost Dyson just pennies to buy. But thats not even the real disapointment. This vacuum will talk into you not to buy a bagless unit. The suction unit inside the plastic dust collection reservoir is very lucky along the top (only about 1/2"). If you have high pile carpet, the carpet fibers and dirt get lodged between the suction MD and the plastic reservoir case. So when you empty it the dirt at the top of the reservoir does not fall out. So now you have to insert something like a cut to force it out and dirt gets everywhere. If everyone made a bagless canister like this one, no one would ever buy a bagless model. Dyson will castigate this issue in future models, wait for the engineering changes! Wish I never bought this likeness.

Very lucky with it
As a substitute for of writing a long paragraph, I'll just jump to the pros and cons
Pros:
- Extraordinary suction: The amount of dirt and lint it sucks is incredible. Compared to my old hoover where I had to go over the carpet few times to suck out all the junk, the DC23 is so powerful, I only have to run over the carpet once or twice and the carpet is clean. This is primarily due to the strong suction but also to the very potent brush.
- I have very expensive and old rugs with tassels. When the motorized brush runs over the tassels, the hairbrush shuts off. My old hoover vacuum would either gets intangled with the tassels or the rubber band connected to the motor would sprightliness.
- It has a telescopic rod. When fully contracted, the DC23 is ideal for cleaning steps.
cons:
- VERY BIG WEAKNESS: The motorhead is so efficacious (a plus as I described above), it sucks in my delicate and fine rugs. Not only it sucks it in, but it's also stripping some of the threading from the 100 year old rugs. I whim Dyson had put a level to control the rotator head instead of just providing an on/off switch.
- Again, because of the durable suction, I'm having to empty the canister 3 or 4 types every time I vacuum my whole house, 2300sf. This is pretty lad actually but it was worth noting because my wife was complaining about it. I didn't seem to mind or care about having to empty out the canister again.

So far so cloth...
Been using it for about a month. Was looking to deviate to a canister design. Wasn't sure, but was willing to try it out. After using it for about a month (vacuumed whole residence - about 1600 sq ft. - 3 times). Haven't really noticed the short comings others esteemed here. But yes, the hose will collapse if you step on it. I think I'll be letting go of my Dyson DC15.

I betrothed vacuuming now!
After much searching around the net and in stores for a friendly vacuum cleaner, I read a few great reviews about this Dyson DC25 animal. Turns out my sister has one and raved about it. Turns out a brace of people at work also raved about their Dyson vacuum cleaners. They all said I wouldn't regret spending this style of money on a vacuum cleaner. They were absolutely right!
I honestly can't believe I spent this much for a vacuum cleaner. I solely bought all new kitchen appliances and this was more expensive than my new range or dishwasher, and very comparable to the cost of my new refrigerator! But I "sucked it up" and bought it. Amazon had the maximum effort price by far, either online or in-store anywhere.
As an experiment, I used my old Eureka vacuum cleaner on my area rug in the living space. A day later I used the Dyson DC25 and it picked up SO MUCH DIRT!! I actually had to empty the container twice neutral vacuuming that area rug. I could not believe all that dirt and cat hair had been left behind by my old vacuum cleaner all these years. It was revolting. I have my 2 bedrooms carpeted with wall-to-wall, and again I had to empty the Dyson container multiple times, which is a GOOD item! I was absolutely amazed at how much it picked up, and everyone was right, I do not regret buying this vacuum cleaner. My house will be a lot cleaner from now on.
It was completely easy to put together and it's very easy to empty the container (this might sound geeky but it's actually FUN to empty it and see all the crap it picked up!). I like the slight hand-held attachment that comes with it, that made it very easy to vacuum furniture, pillows, and my bed comforter where the cat sleeps all the things.
One word for this product...AMAZING. I highly recommend it.

colossal vacuum for animal hair
We bought this vacuum after looking at tons of reviews and prosperous to the store to see the different types of vacuums. We have a dog who sheds horribly. This vacuum does an awesome job of picking up her plaits. The canister is small so we often have to empty it after each room, and the cord is short. But, it's easy to use, lightweight, and does a awful job.

Everything I expected
After hearing encomiastic reviews from friends about their Dyson balls, I had to have one. It is everything I expected. Very good suction and manuverability. My only wish is that the hose stretched out more without buying anything extra.

Oh, how gentlemanly!
I received this yesterday. As another reviewer eminent, it was a bit of a hassle getting it out of the box and putting it together. Dyson really needs to improve their manual. The pictures at most aren't sufficient. Also, the hose could stand to be longer. Those are my only complaints so far. (Aside from the steep consequence)
On the positive side: it has better suction than any vacuum I've ever owned (and I've had a few!). No tools necessary to put this machine together. That was a ladylike surprise. I also love that I don't have to flip any switches or dial anything to go from carpet to floor. Someone was really point of view! I was also pleasantly surprised at how light the machine is. No need for power vacuuming. The ball technology makes getting into awkward areas a breeze. I haven't had to empty the canister yet, but did test taking it out. Easy and clean.
Now, let's see what mould of longevity we get. I really hate having to replace a vacuum every year or so. Dyson...surprise me again!

Celebrated Machine
I have bought a lot of vacuum cleaners in my life-force as I have always had cats. They all worked great at first but then for whatever reason stopped being efficient. After hearing so much about the Dyson Capsule Animal I decided to jump in. So far I am not sorry. It was easy to put together and it works fabulous. I can't get over how much stuff was in my carpets when I tolerant of it the first time. I am delighted with my purchase. I was lucky to find a seller on Amazon who was selling it new for $439 with gratis shipping. The shipper was great. No problems. Received it within less than 10 days as promised.

Influential machine
this vacuum is all it's advertised to be. It has affecting suction and is easy to use despite some unimpressive "instructions". It has an easy emptying feature for the research swept up and it is visible so you know when it needs to be emptied. It's price is somewhat steep so we security it is worthwhile and doesn't have any mechanical failures.

DC 27 - Significant vacuum
I am a very persnickety person about cleaning (I owned and ran a Bed and Breakfast which I cleaned daily). Recently I have been struggling over which vaccum to position. I did a LOT of research online, in stores, and had discussions with sales people, asking all the questions I could over of. Over the years I have owned several brands of vacuums including Electolux, Hoover, and Kenmore. When purchasing we typically bought the more valuable types(not always the best idea). I finally decided on an Oreck, and asked my mollify to go with me to review the one I had picked out. The day before, the salesman asked me to bring in a piece of my carpet to see if the vacuum would work. Think what - none of the vaccums they offered would run on my plush carpet. The salesman was a little embarrassed, to say the least. Then my next choice was Dyson. So dare say what we just purchased from Sam's Club yesterday - a DC27 Total Clean.
Yesterday, before purchasing the DYSON, I vacuumed the undivided house. This morning, after putting the DC27 together, I vacuumed again. I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT WAS IN THE CANISTER. It made me feel like I never cleaned my strain! Now I understand all the rave over Dyson. It is my first week and first cleaning, but it is fabulous! In addition, I forgot to mention was that the insignificant Dyson 6 handheld came with it for quick cleaning, for my car, etc, and all of this for $479.00 at Sam's Club.
All I can say is thank you DYSON and Sam's Club for making this wonderful vacuum and oblation it at a price an average person can afford.
