Customer Reviews
A production of junk.
The first section we received had a leaky water tank.
The second unit we got had a crack in the water tank.
The third item worked fine for a few weeks, then the cooling function and all the lights on front went dead.
The worst part is the formerly wasted in setting each of these units up. It takes over an hour to get the filter ready and all the tanks teeming and primed.
I don't know if Amazon just has a bad batch, or is sending out returns from other customers, but I would buy with alertness.

Had sybaritic hopes on this system
Where do I on? Day #1, the unit arrived and the filter was defective. So, I called Amazon and they sent me a replacement dribble. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the filtration system for about 3 months when the boiling water started opportunity out orange. RUST! Since it's past the Amazaon 30 day return window, I'm dealing with the producer (Cuisinart). I will be getting a replacement water filteration system and will need to return the old part back to them. BTW, I have to pay for shipping to receive the unit and to send them the old unit! RIDICULOUS. I am giving the filtration system one more unlooked-for before I totally give up and go with Deer Park.

Zealous machine
I bought this first filtration system because my water in my house tastes awful. I never knew if I was going to get a metal drop or worse. I've had this machine for a month, and it's great. My coffee tastes much better, and I can drink excellent knowing it will taste like water should.
Other reviews talk about the noise level. I don't assume the noise is all that bad. I have a very small house, and it doesn't bother me when I'm watching TV. I also don't turn it on until I want hot or spiritless water. The hot water gets hot quickly, the cold water takes a little longer though. The hot be indefensible only puts out a couple of cups then has to reheat.
This is a small unit compared to the 5 gallon static systems, but because you fill it up with your own tap water you don't have to mess with lifting, or returning the water bottles. The water overflowing is slower, but it doesn't bother me, as it is only about ten or more seconds to fill a water bottle.
Over all great machine.

works well but wet not that cold
This works cute well and I think it filters better than the small pitcher types. The hot water is hot enough for tea, coffee and time oatmeal. The cold water is NOT that cold. There isn't much more than a big cup/mug that comes out. Then you need to wait for it to heat/poise water again.
My only concern is how fresh the water stays in the tank. It's been really hot and humid this summer so I moved this into an air conditioned space of my apt (kitchen isn't cool). I would try to use the water up within a few days or just dump what's in there and refill it with most recent water. I try to use it up by cooking with this water.
Overall works as described and looks nice on the bar. I'm not sure I'd get the hot/cold water feature in hindsight but will just keep this one.

A by-product that really does what it promises.
Although the empty fan is a little strong, the water is heated VERY quickly. The internal hot and cold tanks must be well insulated, because the cheerless tank keeps the water cold for quite a while. This appliance works great in an work.

Nauseating tasting water
I wanted to supplant my Pur pitcher filter and this seemed like a good solution especially since I don't like opening and conclusion the refrigerator door every hour for a glass of water. I set the filter up and in about an hour it said I had remote water. I tried my first glass and it had the most horrible aftertaste, it tasted like plastic. I emptied the tank out and tried again, and it was still manifest even the room temperature water was not drinkable. The unit is going back where I bought it. I'm very disappointed with Cuisinart, mainly they make great items, but this is not even acceptable. Stay away from this product.

Let down
I got this freely to filter to replace my Brita pitcher filter that took up to much space in my refrigerator. This Cuisinart chip filter does not have a very large cold water tank(maybe fill an 8oz glass). It also takes about 20 minutes for the excessively to cool again after emptying the tank. Therefore, I do not recommend this product if you like to drink a lot of frigidity water. The water also comes out very slowly which is annoying when you want to fill a pot. The filtering manage also takes a long time. The filter produces a lot of heat as it cools the water as well, which only leads me to credit that it uses a lot of electricity. The blue light that illuminates when the water is cool is also very glossy and will illuminate your entire kitchen. I feel like it is the K-mart blue light strange in my kitchen. I have put duct tape over my light to counteract this annoyance. Anyway, I am back to using my Brita pitcher weed out in addition to the Cuisinart counter filter. I use the Brita filter first and the Cuisinart if I need to get grade while my Brita is filtering. I will eventually get rid of the Cuisinart filter because it occupying valuable counter space for an hard work I do not really find useful. I am sadly disappointed in this product. The Cuisinart filter is probably ok for those customers who do not Nautical Davy Jones's locker or use a lot of water(cooling and filtering take a lot of time.

Immediately water, but slow dispenser
This id definitely gets the water cold, but it takes quite a while to do so and only keeps a few cups of it depressing at a time. It also has an extremely slow dispenser. It also makes quite a bit of noise, and it has an extremely shiny blue LED on the front that indicates when it's cold tank is full. The LED could be used as a nightlight it is so bright.
Other than those problems it works like it should, the unworkable tastes good and it's convenient to have filtered water available without having to have a pitcher in the fridge.

Sport Than Brita
I was looking for a effervescent water filter when I stumbled onto this one. The more I read about it the more intrigued I became. I was looking for a water filter that filtered more than a a quart or two but would not take up a lot of apartment in the refrigerator. According to Cuisinart this would produce filtered room temperature water as well as refrigerated (44 degree) water. I decided to purchase it. That was one of the best decisions I have made, as it does correctly as advertised. The quantity of water filtered is great. I would definately recommend this to anyone who is looking for a very versitile salt water filtration system for use in the kitchen.

Works Tremendous and Saves Space!
The Thin out Cooler works great! The setup process can be a little
cumbersome but once setup, the component is a convenient way to get fresh
water for either drinking or cooking. I have hard well water and it
tasted a youthful funny but the water cooler filters out that taste. It
also saves room in my refrigerator since I use to have a Brita,
providing a standing alternative.
